Move-A-Thon 2026

Please join us for EA's seventh annual Move-A-Thon to support Water For People starting May 1st, 2026. The Move-A-Thon encourages EAer's to get active for the month of May through the following activities:

  • Steps/Walking
  • Jogging/Running
  • Biking
  • Swimming
  • Minutes Exercised

Last year, EA Move-A-Thon participants traveled 2,675 total miles! This year, we will be competing against the Race Across the East team as they train for their event in June. Can we log more miles than Walt, Scott, Ryan, and Kritika?

How to Participate:

Step 1. Sign up for a recommended donation of $5 to Water For People at this Ripple Effect donation pagehttp://wfpeo.convio.net/goto/MoveAThon2026

Step 2. Set a goal as to how far you will go in May and collect pledges to raise money for Water For People. You can share our Ripple Effect donation page, which is direct donation to Water For People and accepts credit card, Google Pay, PayPal, and Venmo. We also have a Pledge Form for your use as in previous years if you prefer! 

Step 3. Track your movements. The Race Across the East team uses the Strava app to track their miles biked; if you have another app or method for tracking your movements, you can opt to use that instead! Past Move-A-Thon participants have used the MapMyRun app to track steps/walks, runs, bike rides, swimming, or minutes exercised in May. 

Step 4. Enter miles or minutes exercised per day for the type of exercise completed on a daily or weekly basis at the link provided on InsideEA. 

Step 5. At the end of the month, make sure your total distance is entered and send your pledges to Ivy Harvey if you collected pledges outside of the Ripple Effect donation page
